BRUNSWICK ACTORS' THEATRE, located at 1413 Newcastle Street in Historic Downtown Brunswick, Georgia, is a 113 seat theatre that is home to six Art Downtown productions a year. The BAT season begins in January and ends in December. Performances are on Saturday nights at 8 pm and on Sunday afternoons at 3 pm. The doors open 45 minutes prior to curtain and reserved seating is available. The ticket price includes beverages, tapas, and desserts. The Island Players have been performing live theatre since 1956. Made up of actors young and old, this oldest community theatre in the Golden Isles is committed to bringing the stage alive with a variety of shows. Four performances per year plus a Young Peoples Summer Workshop are presented annually. Residents and part-time residents alike are invited to not only attend these performances but also audition, or work on the production teams. 2012 Performances this year are CABARET…October 19 thru November 4, 2012, PLAY ON…January 4 thru 20, 2013, TEN LITTLE INDIANS…March 8 thru 24, 2013, ROBBER BRIDEGROOM…May 10 thru 26, 2013.
